About me

’40 something and heading into 2015 with a ‘Carpe Diem’ kinda attitude!’

Hi and welcome to my little blog Seize each day – translating as Carpe Diem in Latin – my own little space on the internet where I’ll blog about all kinds of things – kinda my very own virtual sparkly treasure-trove of memories and thoughts.

My blog started out at the beginning of 2015 as a way of recording my weight loss and my new improved healthy lifestyle journey (uhu here we go again) as I was feeling a tad overwhelmed at the speed in which my 40’s were passing me by and wondering where on earth I was going? What was my purpose in life? That whole accepting I’m 40 something in a positive way.  That whole loving myself thing and accepting who I am.

My very lovely husband (MrD) and I have our own mantra that we like to use on occasion  … ‘Life’s too short for mediocrity‘ (and trust me this is used in all sorts of circumstances) … we need to embrace each and every day … we want to be the best versions of ourselves that we can be.

We want to SEIZE each and every day and hence the name of my blog.

So that’s what this is all about.  I hope you find something here that is of interest or sparks some kind of chord with you.

Thank you so much for popping by and I hope you enjoy bimbling around my blog – let me know.

Carpe Diem x

Oh… my profile pic is a rare one of myself and my MrD taken on holiday in Crete May 2014 – you won’t find many pics of me (camera-phobic you know) but I’m hoping as my journey unfolds, I’ll be able to share more with you.

In the meantime, here’s a little glimpse of us…
